Oklahoma Bible Academy’s own Randy Roth has been honored as the 2024-25 OSSAA Girls Basketball Coach of the Year, a distinction that recognizes his exceptional leadership, commitment, and success within Oklahoma high school athletics.
Coach Roth, who leads the girls’ basketball, volleyball and boys’ tennis programs at OBA, has built a reputation for excellence both on and off the court. His coaching philosophy centers around developing athletes who not only compete at a high level but also demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and character. This latest accolade from the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) reflects the lasting impact Roth has made on his players, his school, and the broader community. In 2020, Roth was also named the 3A Volleyball Coach of the Year.
In a letter from the OSSAA, the organization expressed its appreciation for Roth’s dedication to student-athletes and his excellence in coaching:
“This award recognizes your outstanding dedication and excellence in your field,” the OSSAA wrote. “The OSSAA is honored to invite you to our board meeting… where we’ll recognize you and your fellow award recipients.”
The OSSAA also extended an invitation to present the award in front of the OBA community at an event of Roth’s choosing—whether during a football game, basketball game, school assembly, or other celebration.
Roth’s recognition not only highlights his individual achievements but also brings pride to Oklahoma Bible Academy’s athletic department. Under his leadership, OBA’s girls basketball program has demonstrated competitiveness within Class 2A, achieving the 2A state title in March 2025, while his influence in boys tennis continues to elevate the school’s presence across multiple sports.
As OBA celebrates this well-deserved honor, coach Randy Roth’s name stands as a testament to what hard work, mentorship, and passion for student-athletes can accomplish—on the court, in the classroom, and throughout the community.
