OKLAHOMA BIBLE ACADEMY TROJANS
Coach: CHRIS CAYOT
7-4
Oklahoma Bible Academy comes into 2026 with a familiar mix for small-school contenders: plenty of returning experience, but limited depth. Head coach Chris Cayot likes the fact that many of his key players now have one or two years of varsity action under their belts. At the same time, he knows low numbers mean staying healthy and versatile will be critical. The Trojans expect to be competitive again if they can keep their core on the field and continue to build on the foundation laid in recent seasons.
On offense, OBA will use multiple formations and seek a true balance between the run and pass. Versatile standout Jacoby Justus (5-9, 185) returns as a key piece up front and on the perimeter, where his toughness and football IQ make him invaluable. He’ll work alongside quarterback Cal Cayot (5-9, 165), who is back to direct an attack that can shift looks and personnel to stress defenses. In the backfield, running back Cylus Rudd (5-9, 175) offers a steady, physical presence, while receiver Koy Schneider (5-7, 160) and tight end/receiver Benjamin Burrell (5-10, 190) give the Trojans reliable options in the passing game. With several skill players capable of moving around the formation, OBA will look to keep opponents guessing and capitalize on matchups.
Defensively, the Trojans return six starters in a 3-2 alignment that emphasizes discipline, pursuit and tackling in space. Justus again stands out as a leader at linebacker after pacing the team in tackles, setting the tone with his energy and physical play. Schneider is another crucial piece on the back end, where he finished second on the team in tackles from his defensive back spot, showcasing his instincts and willingness to support the run. Rudd also contributes at linebacker, giving OBA a trio of experienced defenders around the football on nearly every snap. With a compact, experienced core and a scheme designed to maximize their strengths, the Trojans believe their defense can help them stay in games and give their offense the possessions it needs.
